Program Overnight

Freshman Student Overnight Options

Orientation is a two-day program and students must attend both days.
There are two overnight options from which students can choose - overnight in a campus residence hall or arranging their own overnight place to stay. Both options include meals in a campus dining commons. Most students choose to stay overnight in the on-campus residence hall.

Program With Accommodations (on-campus residence hall, students only) - $318 per student - includes one overnight on campus, the two-day Orientation program, and four meals on campus. Overnight stay will be provided in an on-campus residence hall. Student roommate requests cannot be honored. Sheets, blankets, towels, and pillow are provided.

Program Only - $283 per student - includes the two-day Orientation program and four meals on campus. This option is for students who make their own overnight arrangements due to preference or if space is not available in the Program With Accommodations. Local hotels and lodging options are listed on this website.

See costs and billing for information on fees, payment, and financial assistance.

Notes about the overnight

Students - On-campus residence hall accommodations are for freshman students only. Residence hall space for our program is limited. The overnight is between the two full days of the session (Monday night or Thursday night).

Parents - The Parent Orientation program fee is $283 per person, which includes the two-day Orientation program and four meals on campus. Parents who are attending the Parent Orientation program must make their own overnight arrangements separately. See Parent Program Info on this website for important details on the parent program and overnight options which include the university-owned San Joaquin Villages Apartments.

FSSP students only

If you are in the Freshman Summer Start Program, the program fees for all Orientation sessions are the same as shown above, with the exception of the session on August 1-2. See the FSSP information on this website for August 1-2 program fees for FSSP participants.
