2024 Orientation Session Dates for Parents of Freshmen
All session dates are subject to availability.
Parents and family members of freshmen are invited to attend the Freshman Parent & Family Orientation program that will take place during the following two-day sessions. Parents and family members must be registered on the student's reservation form if they plan to attend.
2-day in Person Freshman Orientation Sessions
(Students Must Attend Both Days)

2-day Online Freshman Orientation Sessions
- Monday-Tuesday August 5 & 6 (online program)
- Thursday-Friday, August 8 & 9 (online program)
Course seats are distributed evenly across all sessions (both in-person and online). There is no registration advantage to attending an earlier session. * The August 5-6 and August 8-9 sessions will be presented remotely online and will not take place in person. Course registration will take place during each online session.
College of Creative Studies
Students who are admitted to the College of Creative Studies should select one of the following two-day sessions to attend Freshman Orientation: June 27-28, July 1-2, July 18-19, July 25-26, July 29-30. These sessions will have specific advising and programming for CCS students and their parents. The August 5-6 online session will also have CCS advising.
2024 Orientation Session Dates for Parents of Transfer Students
Parents, spouses, and partners of transfer students are invited to attend the Transfer Parent & Family Orientation program that will take place during the following one-day sessions. Parents and family members must be registered on the student's reservation form if they plan to attend.
