Reserve Your Space in an Orientation Session

Reservations Information

Please read the information on this website about Transfer Orientation and Parent & Family Orientation before submitting your reservation. Your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) must be received by UCSB Admissions before you can access the online Orientation reservation system.

Submit your reservation promptly! Space in each Orientation session is limited and session dates will close when they are full. You must complete the process using the online reservation system to be confirmed for an Orientation session.

To complete your reservation you will need:

  • Your preferred session date - and alternative dates if that session is not available
  • The names of your parents or adult family members who will attend Parent & Family Orientation Please note: The Transfer Parent & Family Orientation program fee is $20 per person. Some sessions have a limit of 2 guests per student.

Sign in to UCSB Orientation Reservations

Reserve your space in an Orientation session using the online reservation system by clicking on the link below. Follow the directions to submit a reservation and confirm your session date. You will choose from the available session dates that are listed on the online form.

Some sessions are closed. When you sign in to the reservation system, you will be able to select from the currently available session dates.


Program Fees for Parent & Family Orientation

The program fee is $20 for each parent, family member, or guest. Program fees for all participants will be billed in the fall on the student's UCSB BARC Billing Statement. Students are required to pay in full the amount of the fees for all parents, family members, or guests who have registered for UCSB Orientation on their reservation. Fee payment deadlines will be noted on the statement. Fees are assessed per person.

Some sessions have a limit of 2 guests per student.

Changes and Cancellations

Any change to your reservation is subject to availability and it is preferred that changes be made well in advance of your session date.

Parent & Family Orientation Guest reservations
We do not add or cancel guests at check-in on the day of the session.
You will be charged for any guest who is on your reservation. Therefore, at least 3 days prior to your session day:
- Add to your reservation any guests who will attend the program.
- Cancel guests you have registered who will not attend the program.

You can make these changes through the online reservation system up to 3 days in advance of your session. You must call us directly at 805-893-2197 if you need to cancel your entire reservation, as this cannot be done online.

Special Arrangements

Orientation Programs welcomes requests for special arrangements due to a disability or other special need. Please call us at least three weeks in advance so that we can make arrangements.
