Transfer Module

You will be able to access the transfer student module beginning on June 1.
Student Module

Completion of the transfer module will enable you to register early for your fall classes; your registration appointment time on GOLD will be moved up to a date in mid-August.

The 2024 deadline to complete the module and receive an earlier registration pass time is Monday, August 5.

Orientation is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended. Over 90% of transfer students complete the transfer module, and approximately 85% of incoming transfer students attend a transfer session. At a Transfer Orientation session, you will speak with an advisor in your major and obtain information about course selection and graduation requirements.

In-person Transfer Sessions

Transfer Orientation: You must check in at Campbell Hall between 8:00-9:15am. Morning campus tours will also be offered during this time. The Welcome session will begin promptly at 9:15am.

See What to Bring to Transfer Orientation for a detailed list including several unofficial copies of transcripts.

Follow the signs to Orientation parking when you arrive on campus. Parking fees are $8 per day on weekdays. You will need to purchase a visitor parking permit from one of the pay stations which accept credit cards or cash ($1 and $5 bills only) or use the Park Mobile app.

See Directions to UCSB and Parking for Transfer Orientation for parking location, maps, and directions.

  • In order to park on campus, you must purchase a parking permit
  • You may not park in spaces marked Enforced At All Times, Reserved, or Restricted

Any change to your reservation is subject to availability and it is preferred that changes be made well in advance of your session date.

Billing & Payment for Transfer Orientation

The transfer orientation fee covers both the transfer student module and the in-person transfer orientation session.

The fee cannot be adjusted or changed if a student chooses to only complete one part of the two-part transfer orientation process.

All Orientation charges will be billed in August or September to the student’s UCSB billing account known as the BARC Billing Statement.

Fee payment deadlines will be noted on the statement.

All Orientation fees are billed to the student’s UCSB BARC Billing Statement.

See the UCSB Billing website for acceptable forms of payment and terms.

A limited number of fee reductions are available to eligible students from families with an annual income of $35,000 or less. If you qualify, you may apply by completing the Application for a Fee Reduction which is available through a link on the Fees & Billing page.

Fee reductions are allocated based on need and in the order we receive applications until funds are depleted.
