Amelia is a third-year student from Santa Clarita Valley pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at UCSB. She chose UCSB for its incredible marine research opportunities and its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands National Park. In her free time she enjoys tide pooling, freediving, and scuba diving with the UCSB Scuba and Freedive Club. When she’s not in the ocean or at the library, she’s playing soccer, baking, volunteering at the Santa Barbara Sea Center, or getting coffee with friends. She can’t wait to welcome the incoming Gauchos and help them make the most of the coming years!
