Jamilyn

Jamilyn (she/her) is a third year majoring in sociology and double minoring in history and education. She is originally from Tracy, CA (Central Valley represent!) and chose UCSB for of course its beautiful campus and proximity to the beach, but also the social and collaborative culture it cultivates. She has had the opportunity to become involved in various parts of campus life working as a campus tour guide with the Gaucho Tour Association, joining a sorority, and performing research in the Koegel Autism Center. Jamilyn is also very proud to be a first-generation college student, if she is not working or doing research you can likely find her in the EOP or ONDAS centers on campus. And if she isn’t on campus you’ll probably see her at the beach with a book or on one of the hiking trails in the Santa Ynez mountains near campus. Jamilyn is incredibly excited to work as an Orientation Intern this summer and meet all of our incoming students!
