Joel (he/him/his) is a fourth-year student majoring in Communication with a minor in Applied Psychology. Originally from West Covina, California, he chose UCSB due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, vibrant social life, and research opportunities. While at UCSB, Joel became involved with the campus community by joining intramural soccer and volleyball teams and becoming a research assistant in the Communication department. In his free time, he enjoys working out at the gym, playing soccer and spikeball with friends, and DJing. He is so excited to meet incoming Gauchos and help make UCSB feel like home!
