She/Her/Hers
Lina (she/her) is a current 4th year Spanish major with a minor in Translation Studies. A first-gen student originating from Orange County, she spends her free time playing video games, drawing, playing instruments, and having a fun time with friends. She also adores her dog, Zuko! During her time at UCSB, Lina has been involved in working at the Orfalea Children’s Center, Sociedad Eterna, Fuerza Outreach Program, Pops Orchestra, Research for NSF Career, and translating for the Latin American and Iberian Studies department. Last year she was an O-staffer for the Orientation Programs here on campus. You can find her studying at the Student Resource Building or finding something yummy to eat in Isla Vista. Lina’s favorite part of being here is swimming with the friendly leopard sharks that roam peacefully the nearby beaches. She’s absolutely ecstatic about talking with everyone at all the Orientation sessions!
