Maddie Foster (she/her) grew up in Lancaster, CA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she was an Orientation Leader for 3 years! Then, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Systems from Florida State University. Maddie has held multiple roles in higher education over the last 10+ years including academic advising, tutoring support services, and career counseling. As Director of Orientation Programs & Parent Services, she commits to providing a welcoming experience to incoming Gauchos, setting them up for success both academically and personally while creating moments to find community at UCSB. She is also obsessed with her dog, Marty, and enjoys reading and discussing local Santa Barbara restaurants.
