Suraya

Suraya (she/her/hers) is a recent graduate with a degree in Art with an emphasis in photography as well
as a minor in Educational Studies. She came to UCSB from Downey CA and enjoyed making long-lasting
friendships with peers and faculty. During her time at UCSB, Suraya became involved with the campus
community by obtaining jobs on campus, and volunteering with the College of Creative Studies. A few
jobs for which Suraya participated are becoming a Research Assistant, Interning at UCSB’s Transfer
Admissions as well as a Photographer with UCSB’s Athletics Department, and Leading a Freshmen
Colloquium Class. In her last year, Suraya hosted a Solo Exhibition with the College of Creative Studies,
portraying her artworks created and inspired by her time here at UCSB. There have been so many
amazing opportunities that UCSB has to offer, and Suraya can’t wait to share her own experiences with
incoming students. Suraya is excited to meet and support all of the incoming students this summer as an
Orientation Staff member!
