  • Learn how Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) supports student academic success at UCSB! This session will cover free academic resources available to students, including group tutoring, drop-in sessions, writing workshops, and academic skill-building strategies.

  • Discover the opportunities and benefits of the College of Letters & Science Honors Program at UCSB! This session will provide an overview of program requirements, unique academic honors courses, research opportunities, and specialized advising.

Monday, August 31 | 11:30am-12:15pm: UCSB Canvas & Student Success Hub Overview

  • Master the primary digital tools you’ll use every day at UCSB! This session will walk you through navigating Canvas to access course materials, submit assignments, and track grades, while introducing the Student Success Hub to help you connect with academic advisors and campus support resources.
    • This session is specifically geared toward students, as they will be the ones directly accessing these platforms.

Tuesday, September 1 | 4:00-5:00pm: Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships

  • Learn how to navigate college financing and maximize financial support at UCSB! This session will cover key topics, including aid disbursement timelines, accessing and understanding your My Aid Status portal, managing billing accounts, and exploring scholarship opportunities.

Wednesday, September 2 | 1:00-1:45pm: Student Health Service

  • Student Health Service supports all students' well-being and health needs at UCSB! This session will provide an overview of on-campus medical and mental health services, discuss student health insurance (UC SHIP) coverage and waiver requirements, and explain immunization compliance.

Thursday, September 3 | 2:00-3:00pm: Career Services & Handshake

  • Discover how Career Services helps students prepare for professional success and navigate career opportunities at UCSB! This session will cover job and internship search strategies, resume and interview preparation, career counseling resources, and how to utilize Handshake—UCSB’s platform for connecting students with employers.

Friday, September 4 | 11:00am-12:00pm: Disabled Students Program Drop-In Hour

  • Connect directly with the Disabled Students Program (DSP) during a live drop-in hour! This interactive drop-in session allows incoming students and families to pop in, ask questions, and learn more about navigating academic accommodations at UCSB. Before joining or while waiting, explore information on How to Apply, List of Services and Accommodations Offered, and the main DSP website.

Tuesday, September 8 | 2:00-3:00pm: Department of Recreation

  • Discover all the ways to stay active, healthy, and engaged with the Department of Recreation at UCSB! This session will provide an overview of the Rec Cen facilities, Gaucho R.E.C. classes, intramural sports, outdoor adventure trips, and sport clubs.

Wednesday, September 9 | 4:00-5:00pm: Housing and Community Living

  • Learn all about living on campus and preparing for Move-In Weekend at UCSB! This session will provide key details on residence hall life, university apartments, what to pack, move-in logistics, and campus housing resources.

  • Hear directly from current student leaders about how to make an impact, build leadership skills, and find your community at UCSB! In this student-led panel, representatives from Associated Students (AS) will share their firsthand experiences and answer your questions about joining student boards, getting involved in campus advocacy, and making the most of student-run services and resources.

Tuesday, September 15 | 2:00-3:00pm: Student Engagement & Leadership (SEAL)

  • Get involved, make friends, and find your passion at UCSB! In this session, Student Engagement & Leadership (SEAL) will guide you through exploring 500+ registered student organizations, campus events, and leadership development programs.

Wednesday, September 16 | 11:00am-12:00pm: Fraternity & Sorority Life

  • Are you recruitment ready? Discover how to get involved with Fraternity and Sorority Life at UCSB! This session will cover the registration process, council structures, leadership opportunities, and community service initiatives. A panel of current fraternity and sorority leaders will share their personal experiences, offer advice on finding the right organization, and answer your live questions about Greek life on campus.
