Check-In
Check-in is from 8:00-9:15am at Campbell Hall. We advise you to arrive as early as possible to avoid the last-minute rush. The program concludes between 3:30-5:00pm, depending on your needs and interests. See Program Overview for an outline of the schedule. You must attend check-in to obtain your advising information and materials for the session.
Parking for Orientation

What to Bring to Transfer Orientation

At Orientation your advisors will not have access to your previous records. Please bring copies of transcripts to make the most of your departmental advising meeting.
- Money for parking - $8 per weekday; pay stations accept credit cards or cash ($1 and $5 bills only)
- Comfortable shoes for walking
Program Notes and Schedule
The one-day session includes a full schedule of important events - see Program Overview. Lunch is the responsibility of students and their guests. Dining options are available in the University Center and The Arbor.
Those needing overnight accommodations must make their own arrangements separately. Local hotels and lodging options are listed on this website. In addition to hotels and motels, UCSB Conference & Hospitality Services has set aside space in the university-owned San Joaquin Villages Apartments for transfer students and families who are attending Orientation.
Illegal use of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during Orientation and during the remainder of your academic career at UCSB. Students found in violation of campus alcohol and other drug policies during Orientation will be subject to campus disciplinary procedures.

Any change to your reservation is subject to availability and it is preferred that changes be made well in advance of your session date.
