UCSB Transfer Orientation
Orientation is an important way to begin your academic career at UCSB.
Transfer Orientation is a one-day visit to UCSB where you'll have the opportunity to:
- Meet with department advisors in your academic major
- Learn about the academic environment and undergraduate research
- Become acquainted with other new students
- Explore ways to get involved in campus activities
- Learn about campus life from current UCSB students
- Become familiar with the campus and all that UCSB has to offer
UCSB Parent & Family Orientation
The people who are close to you are probably curious about what your University experience will be like and would enjoy visiting the campus with you. We have planned programs and activities for your family which will include campus tours, learning about campus services, and talking with administrators, academic representatives, and other students. The more your family understands about the college experience, the more helpful they will be to you during your transition.
The Transfer Parent & Family Orientation fee is $27 per person. Program fees will be billed in the fall on the student's UCSB BARC Billing Statement. Students are required to pay in full the amount of the fees for all participants who have registered for UCSB Orientation on their reservation. Fee payment deadlines will be noted on the statement.
Be sure to include any parents, family members, or guests on your reservation form if they will attend. Some sessions have a limit of 2 guests per student.
